ARTSRVE is a proud sponsor of Art Law Day 2026
ARTSRVE will be an exhibiting sponsor of the 2026 Art Law Day, hosted by the Appraisers Association of America at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
Art Law Day is one of the most important annual gatherings for fine art appraisers, art attorneys, and the professionals who work alongside them: insurers, auction house specialists, fine art logistics providers, and art advisors. ARTSRVE connects art collectors with vetted art advisors, appraisers, and consultants. Sponsoring Art Law Day puts us in the room with the people our platform was built for.
If you work in fine art appraisal, art law, trusts and estates, or art insurance, we hope to see you there.

This year's program covers four areas of art law that every appraiser, advisor, and collector will eventually encounter.
Employment law in the art industry (9:45 a.m.) A case study walks through hiring, managing, and terminating staff at an art business, with guidance for employers, employees, and independent contractors in the art world. Panelists include attorneys from Loeb & Loeb, Shook, Hardy & Bacon, and Pryor Cashman.
Fabrication agreements (11:15 a.m.) A fabricator, an artist liaison, a gallerist, and attorneys discuss what it means to fabricate a work of visual art, how production costs and insurance are allocated, who owns the physical object and its intellectual property, and how public and private commissions differ.
Provenance research (2:00 p.m.) Experts from the Yale University Art Gallery, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, SUNY/FIT, and Loeb & Loeb cover provenance risk management in art transactions, representations and warranties, collection audits, and the responsibility of appraisers when valuing property with provenance gaps.
Hot topics in art law (3:30 p.m.) Auction guarantees and who holds the risk when the hammer falls, IP and copyright updates, and international developments, with attorneys from Patterson Belknap, K&L Gates, Clarick Gueron Reisbaum, Brankov PLLC, and Fishkin Lucks.
